We Don't Mean to Frighten You...err...Yes We Do!

BeeJee Bouchere's "pumkin djoezz theatre" at Schooner Run in Sailor's Cove Estates. You will LOVE watching some really bad horror movies. hehehe In fact, I was begged to please skip that sim during restarts because one guest was having so much fun and was glued to his seat!

Seriously have you seen the seats? *wicked grin*

Unfortunately there are only two days left to catch a show. Each day a different movie is played. Today's is "The Sadist" and tomorrow's is "Dead People".

The Sadist (1963). This is believed to be the first feature film based on real life serial killers Charles Starkweather and Caril Fugate. Mainstream Hollywood would not produce films inspired by the pair until a decade after this one. A number of films were inspired by the duo (some very loosely) and included such major examples as Terrence Malick's Badlands (1973) and Oliver Stone's Natural Born Killers (1994).

I'd give you a blurb on "Dead People" if I had the info. LOL You'll just have to ask BeeJee or fly your brooms on over to see for yourself! *muwhahahaha*

You can't miss the big orange and black tent at Schooner Run. So c'mon over ghouls and boys, before this special presentation rests in peace for another year!

This mysterious island magically rose from the waters at Schooner Run and has rightly deserved it's moniker "Haunted Isle". Rumor has it that many who ventured into Nevermore Manor were never to be seen again!

Hmmm. Is it because visitors had such a jolly fright and were simply dying to stay? Or are there darker forces at work here? Are you brave enough to explore the deep dark corners and ghostly recesses? If you are, you better hurry because we have a sinking feeling (pun intended!) that this will be vanishing again soon!

And to celebrate those that have trekked the haunted halls and made it out alive...or at least have enough body parts intact enough to dance, we're throwing a Halloween Monster Mash Bash on the grounds, October 31st from 6-10PM, SLT!

Turn into your favorite ghost or goblin and party til you drop...dead...with DJ Tlinitchief Claymore. Prizes will be given for the best costumes!

FIYC is Invaded and You're Invited!

The 1938 original broadcast of "The War of the Worlds" is re-airing at Fishers Island Yacht Club today at 3PM, SLT. Hosted, once again, by Drwyndwn Tyne.

A true classic! The human mind is a wonderful thing. Imagine the only means of warning of imminent attack by an unknown force *OUT THERE* back in 1938 was radio. NO visuals, only words. Words seeping into your mind and conjuring up all manner of pictures, and with it, unspeakable fears.

Come huddle with us around the Clubhouse radio and get ready for a real treat!

When this originally aired, it caused a public panic that was so real, listeners actually ran from their homes for safety, and law was changed regarding radio plays.

Sailor's Cove is a Real "Treet"! See for Yourself!

Here's the 30 minute Treet.tv show featuring Heath Elvehjem at Sailor's Cove Theater this past Tuesday. The machinima was very well done. Sailor's Cove is a gorgeous community, is it not? And, of course, Heath's performance was spectacular! http://archive.treet.tv/live-n-kickin-heath-elvehjem

The show had a great turnout and was a lot of fun! I'm always reminded why I love living here and thoroughly enjoy being part of the Sailor's Cove Estate community! So let me invite you to join our groups, if you're not a member already. You don't have to live here to join our family! (But living in Sailor's Cove is truly the icing on the cake! And if you're looking for a home in SL, you owe it to yourself to check out some of our available parcels, for sale or lease, before someone else snatches up your personal piece of paradise!)

There are two groups to choose from, for your convenience. First and foremost is the Fishers Island Yacht Club group in-world. FIYC is the nucleus of the 42 Sim estate. Stay up-to-date on all things involving Sailor's Cove and the yacht club itself: from the theater happenings, to boat races, sailing classes, and other community events. Search groups in-world for Fishers Island Yacht Club and join for free! Or use this direct linky: http://world.secondlife.com/group/3548ac5b-c221-b924-aade-7b1a2601c012

Or join the Sailor's Cove Theater and Park subscription-type group which is handy if you don't have an open group slot. There are two kiosks on either side of the theater, which spans across two Sims. Just slap a board to join, read past notices, or unsubscribe. SLurls for each board are: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Fishers%20Island/13/132/22 or
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Sailors%20Cove/241/148/22 This group only announces theater-specific news and announcements.

Ok ok, I just can't help but to gush over the Live n' Kickin show. Now the whole world can see what we SCers have loved all along!

Thank you for supporting the theater, yacht club, and Sailor's Cove as a whole. *sweet sigh and beams with pride*

A very proud resident,
Dolci
